Who would have ever thought that a big chunky white shoe would become one of the biggest shoe trends today and what some call “dad shoes”. Lately, the idea of “athleisure” which is the trend in which clothing that is designed for working out and other athletic activities is used in everyday settings like school, work, or casual social events. Athleisure has become so popular that on sites such as T.J. Maxx it has its own category under activewear.

One of the reasons why these shoes have become so popular is because of their low price point starting at $65. This allows just about anyone to be able to take part in the trend which is unusual because what celebrities are wearing often comes with a heavy price tag. This may be one of the main reasons why a pair of Fila’s was named 2018’s shoe of the year.

After buying myself a pair, I can confirm that these are one of the comfiest pairs of shoes and match just about anything such as dresses, jeans, leggings… etc. I often find myself reaching for them on my shoe rack as I leave my apartment because I know they are a comfortable and trendy choice.
